2. The New York Times recently published an article that exposes the Bush administration’s almost total abdication of the Federal government’s responsibility to oversee workplace safety, and the significant problems that have resulted. 3. A recent Duke University Medical School study found that obese workers filed twice as many workers compensation claims, had 7 times higher medical costs per claim and had 13 times more lost work days than non-obese workers. The news release and study can be found at:
